A new thrilling mystery movie with phenomenal acting from the female lead, Lost has all the potential, but somehow gets lost in translation.

In Kolkata, India, a crime reporter Vidhi Sahani, portrayed by the actress Yami Gautam, goes on a hunt to figure out the sudden disappearance of Ishan Bharti, a young theater activist. The police say the young activist was a Maoist, but Sahani is determined to find out the truth about how and why he disappeared.

Gautam does an excellent job of portraying the character of a young journalist. Her emotional and mental state is presented clearly on her face and she delivers an amazing performance. Along with Gautam, Rahul Khanna portrays his role as a cunning politician with convincing subtlety.

The movie also addresses many social issues, such as the casteism surrounding Bharti’s vanishment. It also tries to address political issues, along with violent propaganda.

However, the movie is slow paced and drags itself through its runtime. There are odd placements of music and choppy cuts that ruin the experience of watching the movie. The movie is also too lengthy for its disengaging narration.

This movie is available to watch on ZEE5.
