Bowling competes in regionals

The bowling team’s hard work pays off with a qualification for regionals.

The Baldwin varsity bowling team competed in the Western PA team regionals on Saturday. Three bowlers from the team – senior Bobby Benton, and sophomores Jon Clemons, and Brady Malloy – also competed in the individual regionals on Friday.

Though no one from Baldwin advanced to states, senior Nolan Malloy said junior Andrew DeIuliis bowled particularly well for the team.

“Andrew scored consistently,” he said.

Benton, meanwhile, said he is still happy with the team’s performance.

“We all did well with trying to adjust to the different conditions. I’m happy with how we did,” he said.

Malloy said a problem for the team has been the way they handle stress.

“We definitely need to manage our stress better,” he said.

Benton agreed.

“We could improve on staying calm and not letting little things frustrate us,” he said.
