The Baldwin boys ice hockey team lost to Mt Lebanon 4-3 Thursday night.

Sophomore Gabe Herrle said Mt Lebanon shot the puck well and the players were good at moving their feet and passing.

“We need to have more fun with our playing. We are doing better but our confidence needs to be higher,” Herrle said.

Herrle said his favorite part of the game was when all of the seniors came out while their names were being called by the announcers for their recognition.

Senior players who stood out in the game were Ben Cramer and Levi McCrea, Herrle said.

McCrea was happy with the team’s performance but thinks they need more work.

“The team does well overall in terms of play, but we need to work on our smarts with the puck,” McCrea said.

McCrea said he had a good time at the senior rec game.

“My favorite part of the night was the personalized pamphlets made by the coach and the dinner we had before the game,” McCrea said.

The Highlanders’ next matchup is on Feb. 23 against Upper Saint Clair.
