The unified bocce team won against Bethel Park Thursday at their senior recognition.

Junior Kelsi Boyd congratulated the seniors and the rest of the team.

“All of the seniors stood out because they played their best for senior night,” Boyd said. “The entire team did well with knocking balls away from the pallino when needed.”

Senior Aydan O’Malley said junior Brendan Karnes and senior Grace Spozarski played well.

“They are very talented and they used really good strategies,” he said.

O’Malley said the senior recognition was bittersweet.

“It was happy because we were recognized for our hard work but sad at the same time because it’s the end of an era,” O’Malley said.

The team is excited to continue their season with one more away regular season match.

“Our season so far has gone really well. I feel like we all played with intensity,” O’Malley said.

Boyd agreed.

“We’re all looking forward to going to Keystone Oaks next week, and looking forward to just having fun,” Boyd said.
