The wrestling team lost against Bethel Park last night 38 to 25.

Senior Dillon Digiannurio said the team worked hard.

“We were doing pretty good from the start,” Digiannurio said.

Although the team as a whole fell short on points, some athletes stood out. Junior Lachin Islamov, in particular, won his match.

“His was the most unexpected win,” Digiannurio said. “He was at the right place and the right time to get the pin.”

Senior John Starusko also had an impressive match.

“John Starusko did an amazing job although I feel as if he could have hit a few more cradles,” Digiannurio said. 

The team’s next match is Wednesday at home against Ringgold.
