The Baldwin boys Basketball team played a non-section game on Tuesday and defeated Trinity 68-59.

The team’s overall record is now 9-6.

This win definitely boosts the team’s morale, but senior Christian Forgacs stays humble.

“We played really good defense. We need to keep working on all aspects of the game; we need to stay focused and keep playing together,” Forgacs said.

Some standout players were senior James Wesling and junior Nate Richards, which is great news for Baldwin.

“James Wesling and Nate Richards really stood out last night. James finished with 24 points and Richie had 15 and 8 assists,” Forgacs said.

The Highlanders next game is against Mount Lebanon, a matchup in which the players hope for a better outcome than the last time they played, where they lost a tough nail biter earlier in the season.

“Preparing for Lebo, we are very confident going into this game. We are ready to prove we should have won that first game too,” Forgacs said.

The Highlanders play Mount Lebanon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at home.
