The Varsity boys basketball team lost 47-46 in overtime against Upper St. Clair on Tuesday.

Baldwin had the lead in the first quarter but fell behind in the second and third quarters. They tied the game in the 4th but were unable to score the game-winning point in overtime.

“We did not start out the game with energy–we came out flat,” said Senior Christian Forgacs.

Forgacs said that even though the team lost, the team played well during the third quarter.

“We actually started playing like we wanted the game,” said Forgacs.

Forgacs said that the defense played well at the end of the game, even though they didn’t make the last shot.

“Our defense at the end of the game really provided us with the opportunity to make the game-winning shot,” said Forgacs.

Forgacs said senior Anthony Cherico, junior Nathan Richards, senior James Wesling, and sophomore Nathan Wesling played well.

“AJ Cherico’s hustle stood out, Nate Richards always controls the pace of the game, Nate Wesling got his foul shot in, and James always produced,” said Forgacs.

The team’s next game is next Tuesday against Trinity.
