Baldwin boys wrestling fell to Peters Township 59-18 on Wednesday.

Baldwin, in total, won three matches. Senior John Starusko spoke to the team’s health issues.

“We just need to get healthy, we were missing three starters due to injuries and the less experienced guys need to get more mat time,” Starusko said.

Even through this tough loss, the team is using it as motivation to come back stronger and more powerful in the following matches.

“This match definitely inspired us to work harder and stay consistent because we want to win more,” junior Keith Mincin said.

Starusko agrees.

“We are feeling more motivated and we realize the seriousness of the loss,” Starusko said.

Starusko cites junior Owen Klowdowski as the standout player of the match, mentioning his quick pin.

Mincin feels the way to success can be paved through practice as well.

“The team needs to practice harder and pay attention to small details,” Mincin said. “I think we will continue to stick together and never give up.”

The next match is home on Wednesday against Cannon-Mac.
