Hockey team comeback falls short against Peters Township
December 13, 2022
The ice hockey team tried to overcome an early deficit but fell short and lost 5-3 to Peters Township Monday.
Junior Tanner Plinta said the best moment of the game for the Highlanders was the goal by senior Levi McCrea.
“It was a nice shot,” Plinta said.
Another player who stood out and played well was senior Nick Buys.
“He worked really hard and created opportunities for other players,” Plinta said.
Even though the team lost, they were still physical, he said. They do have work to do in some areas, though.
“We need to work as a team,” Plinta said.
A few members of the marching band drumline came to play pep tunes to cheer on the team.
“Yeah, it definitely did” boost the morale, Plinta said.
The hockey team’s next game is at 9 p.m. Thursday at home against Bethel Park.
