There were many hopes for Cyberpunk 2077, but because of its many bugs and glitches, it was almost unplayable.
The protagonist in this story, David Martinez, is a bottom feeder in Night City. As the struggles of capitalism are shown through unnecessary fees and living situations, David turns to a gang of Cyberpunks.
In this 10-episode anime, the audience can quickly become attached to most of the Cyberpunks in the gang.
David is in search of a meaning or a dream, and Lucy, a gang member, guides him to that dream. Romance appears in the show and adds a great element of balance and a sign of hope for David.
The anime moves at a fast pace by skimming over crucial areas but still getting the right message across. It takes a different approach to telling the story – like showing a fight through phone calls. It is a different feel, but it keeps the audience engaged.
Cyberpunk Edgerunners is filled with violence and gunfights, and the audience can see how violence can affect their minds.
There are a few terms that viewers may not know if they have never played 2077, but as the show goes on they become more familiar.
The Cyberpunk 2077 video game, meanwhile, has gotten recent updates that should make it game-ready for people who watched Edgerunners.
But people who have never played Cyberpunk 2077 should not turn away from watching the anime, because it is filled with great action and romance.
