The girls soccer team lost 3-0 to Norwin on Wednesday night.

Despite the loss, many of the players put up a fight, junior Mikalah Beardsley said.

“Our keeper, Adrianna Grande, stood out. Without her saves, the score would have been higher,” Beardsley said.

Junior Haley Nieman said sophomore Milana Winowich stood out.

“She played really solid, especially for it being her first time starting for varsity,” Nieman said. “The other experienced defenders did a good job helping her step into that role”.

Nieman said the team needs to work on capitalizing their shots on the net.

“We are really starting to lock down defensively, so the next step for us is to keep possession longer and build the attack,” Nieman said.

The team’s next game is away against Hempfield on Monday.
