Baldwin’s girls soccer team lost to Bethel Park 7-0 on Monday night. 

The team struggled on both sides as Bethel Park dominated on offense.

“Our communication on defense needs to be worked on,” junior Olivia Seiler said.

Bethel especially picked up momentum in the second half, but sophomore Mary Vargo in particular kept fighting, Seiler said.

“Mary Vargo always gave her best effort and hustled every play,” Seiler said.

Despite the loss, the Highlanders should not be counted out, she said. 

“There’s definitely improvement from last year,” Seiler said. “The score may not show it, but we are definitely building the program.”
