People are tied to their families by bloodlines. Two friends in a new Netflix limited series are bound together by the blood on their hands.

In Blood Sisters, Sarah and Kemi must go on the run after Sarah’s groom disappears from his engagement party. Being Netflix’s first series produced in Nigeria, it showcases the country’s beautiful culture while also featuring thrilling crime.

The first episode shows Sarah, the bride-to-be, running away from her ex-boyfriend, Kenny. Her closest friend, Kemi, is happy for Sarah about her marriage to the wealthy Kola, but the couple’s smiles are just for the public. Kemi finds out that Kola has been hitting Sarah again; Sarah tells her mother, but her mother ignores her and emphasizes the family business.

Kenny tracks down Kola to shoot him, but fails. Sarah then tries to call off the wedding but Kola beats her again, and Kemi comes to stop him. He ends up hitting Kemi and a gun falls out from his pocket and she ends up shooting him with it. They manage to pull off the excuse that he got cold feet and ran away, giving them time to run themselves.

In the second episode, they are on the run. Kemi is being blackmailed with evidence they killed Kola. While the family mourns, the two girls go into hiding.

This series has many surprises and plot twists to keep viewers entertained and shocked. Each episode is around an hour long, so even though the series is short, viewers get enough entertainment to enjoy.
