The girls softball team shut out Peters Township 10-0 Wednesday.

Freshman Ryley Shaw said the team had great energy throughout the big win.

“The energy and adrenaline was really high for everyone and we were hitting really well, which kept it up,” Shaw said.

Everyone played well as a team and showed great sportsmanship, she said.

“There was a lot of motivation during the game because we want to make it to the playoffs. I’d even say this was our best game of the year,” Shaw said.

The season started out rough due to the low number of players, but they made it work and have put a lot of effort in.

Their next game is tonight against Upper Saint Clair.
