The Baldwin girls softball team loses after a hard fought game against NA.

The Baldwin softball team lost to Bethel Park 12-4 on Monday.

The team has been giving up many hard-hit balls to the outfield.

“Everything went to the outfield and they were really hard-hit balls that we just couldn’t handle,” senior Maleah Pacella said.

Even though the score really doesn’t show it, the Highlanders’ pitching had a good night, Pacella said.

“Our pitching was really good but we let our pitchers down,” she said

The next game for the Highlanders is a big one for their playoff hopes.

The team will play Peters Township at home at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. They have to win to be able to have any shot at this year’s playoffs.
