Shohei Ohtani continues to become the face of baseball as he is the cover player for The Show 22, the latest in the long-lasting video game series that dates back to 2006. 

The game features a new series of cards called Takashi Okazaki, which brings out the Japanese culture of anime, which Ohtani enjoys to watch. 

The game has been predominantly the same for the past four years, but the developers continue to add new game modes such as mini-seasons and co-op. 

Mini-seasons is a 28-game competition in diamond dynasty, where each player creates a team with current and legend players. The top four teams make the playoffs and play a best of five series each. This is a great way to get virtual currency, stubs and to level up with XP. 

The co-op is another game mode in diamond dynasty that allows players to play with their friends on the same team. Your team will play another co-op team, which can range from 2v2 to 3v3. 

The three main game modes remain diamond dynasty, battle royale, and road to the show. 

Diamond dynasty is a game mode where the player must gain stubs and XP to gain better players all the way to 99 overall. Battle royale is a good way to get those stubs and good players. 

Current players in the MLB get a live series card. A new addition is that the cards for these players are supercharged for up to two days. The supercharge is based on how the player performs in real life, so if they are a 74 overall, their stats can be altered to a 90 overall for two days. 

Road to the show is an offline part of the game, when the player can create his or her own player. They make the journey from the draft through the minors and to make it to the major leagues. 

Another new addition is to play on a completely different console, Nintendo Switch. The Show has only been able to be played on Playstation consoles until last year, when the game came to Xbox.

New players allow the difficulties of players to range even more now from beginners to elite players. 

Other things that have improved are the visual quality of the game and cards, new gameplay animations, and more realistic pinpoint pitching. 

Overall, this is a great game for baseball players and other sports fanatics. There are many different fun game modes that can be played, and it will be a very popular game this year.
