Punk rock singer Machine Gun Kelly’s latest album, Mainstream Sellout, does not offer anything different or special compared to his other albums.

His previous album, 2020’s Tickets To My Downfall, set him up for success with future releases but that has been proven wrong by this album. This album offers 15 songs with very minimal change from his past music.

Stars like Trippe Redd, Blackbear, and Iann Dior are features of this album, but the album is still disappointing. The majority of the songs are sung in the same screaming tone, which makes it seem as if the whole album is just one long boring song.

One song that shows growth from his previous album is “Play This When I’m Gone,” which has a soft tone and vibe. This is a breath of fresh air compared to everything else here, even though the song itself is depressing.

Songs like “My Ex’s Best Friend,” featuring Blackbear, which is very popular, and “Nothing Inside” featuring Iann Dior, are among the other memorable songs from the album.

Overall, this album is disappointing. Machine Gun Kelly has the ability to show his talents and show his growth in music, but he fails to do so.
