The boys tennis team lost 5-0 to Upper St. Clair on Wednesday. 

Upper St. Clair is one of the best teams in high school tennis, junior Braden Yokopenic said. 

“All of their players have a lot of experience,” Yokopenic said. 

Yokopenic said his match went well and was close, since he lost 2-1 to his opponent.

“We played very similarly. He just played a little more consistently than I did,” Yokopenic said.

Junior Daniel Khalil said he tried new strategies during his match.

“I actually hit a lot of good shots that I don’t usually do,” Khalil said.

Yokopenic and Khalil said that they need more experience with teams like Upper St. Clair.

“If we keep playing more often, our skills will also improve,” Khalil said.

The team did not give up even though it was a hard match.

“We just had fun. We didn’t get mad about anything and stayed positive throughout the matches,” Khalil said.
