Peach Pit’s new album, From 2 to 3, is a perfect album to add to summer-night playlists.

Peach Pit maintains its typical indie sound; however, the album contains songs that have a much happier tone than some of their previous music.

The album swings more towards indie-rock, carrying mellow and upbeat sounds. Specifically, the songs  “Up Granville” and “Look Out” have a classic indie-rock feel to them.

The album also incorporates softer sounds, aligning more with folk-pop. Songs like “Last Days of Lonesome” and “From 2 to 3” rely heavily on the acoustic guitar, while other songs incorporate a multitude of different sounds.

The album speaks about the feelings associated with having a crush, like one of the more popular songs on the album, “Vickie.”

Although the album is not exceedingly unique, it has catchy songs that will appeal to a wide variety of listeners. Those who enjoy the artists Dayglow and Wallows will see a similar style among the artists on this album.

Peach Pit’s From 2 to 3 is a relaxing indie album that shares similarities to other popular indie albums frequently listened to as summer approaches.
