Baldwin girls basketball team put together a big win on Monday, defeating Canon-Mac 58-20.

Baldwin was in the lead the entire game. Everybody worked together well, and no one was selfish with the ball, which were big factors in winning the game, senior Morgan Altavilla said.

A standout player of the game was junior Bree Swales, Altavilla said.

“She’s our spark, our energy,” Altavilla said.

Senior Heidi Johnston also played a great game, Altavilla said.

“She got ‘2 and 1s,’ which sparked energy that got us winning the whole time,” Altavilla said.

To keep improving, Altivilla said the team needs to stay consistent and work together.

The Highlanders’ next game is senior rec tonight at home against Hempfield.
