The boys varsity hockey team fell to Pine-Richland 3-2 in overtime on Monday.

Baldwin scored the first two goals of the game in the first period. Seniors Trevor Belak and Carson Kress were the goal scorers.

Pine-Richland scored toward the end of the first period and again at the beginning of the second period to tie the game.

“We fell apart and let up when we were up during the second period,” Kress said.

As the game went on, the boys picked up their play again in the third period.

“We had momentum against them, but just couldn’t find the back of the net,” defenseman Belak said.

The third period ended with a score of 2-2, and Pine-Richland scored in overtime to win the game.

Belak and Kress both agree that senior goalie Eddie Nowicki played a great game.

“I thought Eddie played well as usual, with him keeping us in the game when we needed him to,”  Belak said.

Their next game is away on Dec. 21 against Cathedral Prep.
