After three years of anticipation, Eric Church finally has released his fourth album, The Outsiders. He is the same old Eric Church heard on his album Chief, with some new sounds. Church brings country to a whole new level with his unique country – meets – rock sound. The song “Devil, Devil (Prelude: Princess of Darkness)” is eight minutes long with parts sounding like “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.” Another song that stands out on the album is “A Man Who Was Gonna Die Young.” It is a low tempo, slow love song with a lot of meaning to it. He sings about how the woman in his life kept him alive because he feared he would die young. The other love song on The Outsiders is titled “Broke Record.” It’s a more upbeat song about his obsession with a girl. Church always surprises listeners with his unique style of music. The Outsiders definitely was a pleasant surprise for both Eric Church lovers and haters.
