To all the metalcore fans who were wondering if a good motivational metalcore album would ever be released: the wait is over. Of Mice & Men (not to be mistaken with John Steinbeck’s novel of the same name), has released its third studio album, titled Restoring Force. The record includes the single “You’re Not Alone,” which was the first single released with new co-vocalist Aaron Pauley (ex-Jamie’s Elsewhere), who replaced Shayley Bourget. While many people were unsure of what kind of attitude Pauley would bring to the band, criticisms of the new record have not yet been heard (or have been simply silenced by the perfection that is Restoring Force). The song “Another You” is about co-vocalist Austin Carlile’s mom, who passed away in 2007. “Another You” might seem like an extremely sad song, but overall, the album is “in your face” and motivational for most fans of metalcore subgenre.
