Life’s a Beach, by UK indie band Easy Life, gives listeners a personal album that reflects the artists’ thoughts throughout the 2020 pandemic.

The album begins with positive songs that sound almost like a vacation setting. Many of the songs have a relaxing undertone similar to the start of the pandemic, when people were excited to finally get a break from busy everyday life.

The album is noticeably more dark and sad as it goes on with songs like “Nightmares” and “Homesickness.”

There is a subtle spiritual awakening that the artists seem to undergo over the course of the album. What is interesting is that the artists’ repeat the lines “life’s too short” or similar phrases from start to finish.

The band also uses no capital letters at the beginning of the titles of this album, which is a new trend among teenagers. It can be reflected in the actual release of the album that teenagers and young kids can still be successful despite the pandemic.
