Boys tennis falls to Shadyside
April 8, 2021
In their fifth game of the season, Baldwin’s varsity boys tennis team lost to Shadyside, 4-1, on Tuesday.
Shadyside was hitting the ball with lots of power and were consistent, leading to the victory, sophomore Daniel Khalil said.
“They were overall more experienced than us,” Khalil said.
Baldwin’s players can still be proud of their effort, he said.
“One good moment was when my teammate kept returning the ball back to the opponents, volleying it about four times to win the point, ” Khalil said.
Moving forward, Baldwin players need to work on their hitting and the amount of power they hit with. Still, Khalil is happy with the season so far.
“Yeah I think the season is going well so far considering many of the people on our team are new to playing tennis for real,” Khalil said.
