Boys tennis falls to Allderdice
March 23, 2021
In the first match of the season, Baldwin’s varsity boys tennis team lost to Allderdice, 5-0, on Monday.
Allderdice had better hits, putting more power and spin behind their plays, leading to the victory, sophomore Daniel Khalil said. The Allderdice players also were humble about the win, showing good sportsmanship.
“They were good sports and good players as well,” sophomore David Werner said.
Baldwin’s players can be proud of their effort, Khalil said.
“Some moments included the hustle to win points, and not slacking against the opponent,” Khalil said.
Moving forward, Baldwin players need to work on their nervousness and their consistency when hitting the ball. The Highlanders have a good attitude and high hopes for the season.
“The season is going well, and it will get better,” Khalil said.
