Ice hockey team shuts out Mars

Baldwin’s varsity ice hockey team beat Mars 6-0 Monday night in the final home game of the regular season.
Senior Robbie Aranos and junior Trevor Belak scored two goals each, with juniors Joey Antonio and Carson Kress also scoring during the game.
Belak praised goalie Eddie Nowicki, who earned a shutout during the game.
“No team is perfect and we can mess up too, so we are lucky we have Eddie in net so he can bail us out,” Belak said.
Belak also said that Baldwin played well as a team last night.
“All four lines helped us,” Belak said. “We were able to put pucks behind the goalie.”
Belak noted that for one of his two goals, he was set up by his brother, senior Dylan Belak.
“My first goal was a power play goal, and it was actually my brother that fed it right to me,” Belak said.
