The Baldwin ice hockey team came from behind to defeat Meadville 4-2 on Monday and remain undefeated.

Scoring for Baldwin were senior Robbie Aranos, senior Keith Reed, junior Dom Trimbur, and junior Carson Kress.

The Highlanders had been up 1-0 on the goal by Aranos, but then Meadville scored twice. In the third period, though, Baldwin scored three unanswered goals to secure the win.

Senior Dylan Belak said the victory was a huge one for Baldwin over a team that has become a rival.

“This was a big win for us since they beat us in the tournament and championships last year,” Belak said.

Senior Zachary Borman credited the opposition with playing a strong game.

“Meadville played good. They had strong defense and the goalie was really good,” Borman said.

Baldwin, though, came up with the victory, moving their season record to 8-0.

The hockey team hopes to keep the energy and determination going when they play Greater Latrobe on the road at 7:15 p.m. Thursday.
