Keith Reed scored his third hat trick of the season to lead the Baldwin ice hockey team to a 9-1 win over Hampton on Thursday night.

Dom Trimbur had two goals for the Highlanders, while Zack Borman, Logan Picchi, Nick Buys, and Xander Aul scored one each.

Baldwin was able to use its speed advantage in the game, Reed said.

“Hampton was one of the slower teams we have faced because they have a bit of a younger team,” Reed said.

Reed also praised goalie Eddie Nowicki.

“Eddie Nowicki had a solid game and is solid every time we play. He only let one goal past him, but it was an odd-man rush,” Reed said.

The win kept the Highlanders unbeaten for the season. Their next game is at 9 p.m. Monday at Ice Castle against Meadville.
