Girls basketball falls to Lebo
January 28, 2020
Baldwin’s girls varsity basketball team lost to Mt. Lebanon on Monday, 56-48.
Baldwin started strong in the game but lost the lead in the second quarter. They did not have a lead after that.
“Throughout the first quarter, we all played together as a team and had good communication,” senior Jenna Lutz, who plays small forward, said.
Junior Meghan Dryburgh said Anna Lucarelli played well, despite the loss.
“Anna put up 19 points. I think this was her best game of the year,” Dryburgh said.
Lucarelli was also a strong leader, trying to keep the morale of the team high.
Junior Kayla Radomsky also led the team through strong defense, Lutz said.
Throughout the game, the team had some sloppy turnovers, Lutz said.
The team has three section games left. They just need to win one more section game to clinch a spot in the playoffs.
The Highlanders play Upper Saint Clair on Thursday.
