The girls volleyball team defeated section rival Peters Township on Thursday night in three straight sets. 

Even though the girls swept Peters, the win didn’t come easy. 

“We need to focus on not trading points and to keep pushing through every set,” senior Mia Hampsay said.

Seniors Riley Lenard and Anna Baloh played really well and helped the team stay focused, Hampsay said. 

Senior leadership has been a big key to success for the girls this year.  The team needs its leaders coming down the home stretch of the season and going into the playoffs, Hampsay said. 

The team now focuses on their next section game against Oakland Catholic on Tuesday.
