The 2019 NBA playoffs have been one for the ages, and the conference finals, which start today, promise to provide just as much drama.

The Eastern Conference features two potential MVPs, Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks and newcomer Kawhi Leonard of the Toronto Raptors. As the Raptors and the Bucks have advanced to the Eastern Conference finals, many fans speculate that this will be the greatest battle.

Leonard has been playing out of his mind throughout these playoffs, as he has averaged 31.8 points per game, 8.5 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game through 12 games. He is also leading a heavily talented Raptors squad to the conference finals.

Giannis has been unreal these playoffs as well, just as he was during the regular season. With only nine games played, he is averaging 27.4 points per game, 11.3 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game.

In the Western Conference, meanwhile, Kevin Durant from the Golden State Warriors has been lights out recently, leading the team into the conference championship with the help of Steph Curry by his side.

Damian Lillard from the Portland Trail Blazers, however, has dominated these playoffs so far and has been a spectacular player to watch.

These series promise to be entertaining, and it’s difficult to predict which two teams will come out on top.

One thing seems likely, though: these series likely will have a big impact on which player is chosen MVP for the playoffs.

While other players still might step up, Antetokounmpo, Leonard, Durant, and Lillard are front-runners based on their performances so far in the playoffs.
