The girls varsity softball team beat Peters Township 12-2 on Tuesday.

Sophomore Beatrice Cook credited junior Cassandra Carlson and senior Addie Tagg for their home runs.

“Our hitting has been way better lately, and it’s really starting to show based on the number of hits,” Cook said.

Alongside hitting, Cook also said that the team’s communication has gotten better, although there is still room for improvement, especially in the dugout.

The team is second in the section, and moving forward, Cook said the team is right on track to succeed.

The team’s next matchup is a home game against Brashear.

“We are ready to win and I truly believe that with a lot of hard work this will be a great season,” Cook said.
