The Girls Softball team takes on Norwin today in first round of play-offs.

The girls softball team won against Brashear 16-0 in its fifth section game of the season.

The game was called after the fourth inning due to the “mercy rule.”

Senior pitcher Addie Tagg struck out many opponents throughout the game.

“As a team, we all hit the ball really well through the game, and kept a good communication,” junior catcher Cassie Carlson  said.

The team struggled a little at the beginning of the game, but the determination was still there.

“We had a hard time hitting off of slow pitches in the beginning, but we adjusted well as the game went on,” Tagg said.

The team hopes to keep winning section games and work their way up to the WPIAL championship.

“The main goal for our team is to ultimately win the WPIAL title,” Carlson said.
