Lacrosse plays another game.

The boys lacrosse team lost 15-1 to Canon-Mac on Tuesday night.

Senior Austin Dickey said freshman Colton Tamburri was a standout player for the Highlanders, scoring the only goal for Baldwin. Overall, though, the team could have put in a better effort, he said.

“We learned that we need to come out harder in the first half,” Dickey said. “We also need to work on putting in the effort to keep pushing throughout the game.”

Freshman Mark Kahwash agreed.

“Canon-Mac is a really good team, but still beatable. We lost because we weren’t on top of things in the first half,” Kahwash said. “We need to come in more focused, with a desire to win and compete.”

The team’s next game is Thursday night against Indiana.

“Varsity beat Indiana last year,” Kahwash said. “I think we can definitely beat them again. We just have to focus and be more competitive.”

The team’s overall record is 1-2, and its section record is 0-2.
