Celebrity Big Brother capped its second season Wednesday night with a bit of history being made.

Singer Tamar Braxton took the crown, claiming all nine votes cast by the CBB jury. This marks the first unanimous selection since Dan Gheesling was the first to claim the honor in BB10. Braxton also became the first African-American winner in Big Brother history.

Braxton beat out former NFL running back and Heisman winner Ricky Williams, who chose her to sit next to him in the final two.

The victory was impressive for Braxton, who won key competitions, formed alliances with the right celebrities, and relied on a good social game to advance her way through the game.

The season was one to remember for CBS and helped improve the CBB brand with a more action-packed season than last.

Olympian Lolo Jones, former WWE wrestler Natalie Eva Marie, comedian Tom Green, and actor Kato Kaelin provided comedy and solid gameplay that shaped the season in the right direction.

Green took home the $25,000 prize as America’s Favorite Houseguest. It was well deserved, as Green made everything he could into a laughing matter without annoying his fellow houseguests or the Big Brother fanbase.

Braxton, meanwhile, started out strong, forming a key alliance and then flying under the radar up into the final week of the game. The strategy paid off and her alliance with Williams helped push her game over the top.

Celebrity Big Brother may be over but this season was one to remember.

Big Brother 21 will premiere in the summer and will have expectations to live up to, as it aims to provide the same flash and gameplay that defined the second season of Celebrity Big Brother.
