Girls basketball drops tough section game
The team returns every player next year after being one of the youngest teams in the section this year, with a squad composed of mostly sophomores.

The girls basketball team fell short Monday night against Canon McMillan, 52-42.
The Highlanders have seven overall wins this season but just two in section.
“We’re really just focusing on our defense from here on out,” junior Lexie Kennard said.
The Highlanders are preparing for their next game against Franklin Regional on Wednesday.
“We’re looking forward to our upcoming games,” Kennard said.
