Both the boys and girls swim teams lost to Elizabeth Forward at a home meet on Tuesday.

Because Baldwin’s swim teams lack the numbers that some schools have, the Highlanders celebrate individual achievements at meets more than team wins and losses.

¨Although we didn’t win, everyone put forth their best effort, which resulted in some good times and swims,¨ sophomore Allison Schroeder said.

Some impressive races included Kevin Weber´s first place in the 500 freestyle and Ava Russin´s win in the 200 IM.

¨Right now, were focusing on lowering times and specifying events to compete against bigger schools,¨ Schroeder said.

The teams’ next meet is at 6 p.m. Thursday at home vs Upper Saint Clair.
