Following Saturday’s loss to North Allegheny in the WPIAL finals, the Baldwin girls volleyball team is looking to move on in the state playoffs starting Tuesday.

Baldwin was swept 3-0 in the loss to North Allegheny, but the team is ready to bounce back.

“In the first two games, we didn’t play well,” junior Marlo Mendez said. “Each game got better, though.”

Communication seemed to be the problem for the girls.

“We didn’t do a good job communicating with each other,” Mendez said. “We had a lot of pressure on us.”

Senior Kenzie Meis was one of the standout players in Saturday’s loss.

“She kept the team together and had great digs,” Mendez said.

The girls play State College on Tuesday at Bellefonte.

“The pressure is off and we are ready to play again,” Mendez said.
