Five years after the death of the drummer known by the stage name “The Rev,” Avenged Sevenfold has found a new drummer and released a new album. The first single on the album is titled “Hail to the King,” and it sounds more like Black Sabbath or Led Zepplin than the old Avenged Sevenfold. This album is anything but disappointing. The drums and guitar in every song on this record give the listener goose bumps that last for 53 minutes and 17 seconds. The album comes complete with powerful, heart-wrenching ballads, and some of the songs on this album are reminiscent of the band’s previous album, Nightmare, which was so popular with the band’s fans. While Avenged Sevenfold has taken a new direction with Hail to the King, the band has definitely not dissatisfied anyone. This album is only for people who know what real music sounds like, not fans of One Direction.
