The girls volleyball team improved to 5-0 in its section on Tuesday by sweeping Moon 3-0.

Serving was a large part in the Highlanders’ victory along with finishing, senior Kerri Herron said.

“We won each game by a close margin, so we needed to finish each game strong,” Herron said.

Herron cited a strong performance from junior Anna Baloh.

“Anna served tough and was able to put the ball down,” Herron said.

The Highlanders’ next matchup will be against section rival Mt. Lebanon on Thursday night at home.

“We haven’t played them yet, but we know we need to stay focused and we cannot get lazy,” Herron said.
