Everyone loves bubble tea — it is fun and light and makes people think they are being healthy. Pho Kim 88 is an authentic Asian restaurant in Castle Shannon and bubble tea is among the many items on the menu. Pho Kim 88 offer fruity flavors consisting of mango, strawberry, taro, honeydew, peach, milk tea, red bean, watermelon, banana, coffee, coconut, mango with peach, peach with strawberry, and strawberry with banana. The restaurant’s tea is incredibly overpriced. They mark their tea to be $5 when an average bubble tea is $3 and at most $3.50. Pho Kim 88’s bubble tea also has an overwhelmingly fruity taste. Even though the drink is fruitier than other teas, it does not taste fresh. Instead, the tea tastes more powdery than anything and pretty bland. The tapioca balls at the bottom are incredibly bitter and too soft, and again, not fresh. Overall, Pho Kim 88’s drink is disappointing if the consumer is looking for something that is refreshing and rejuvenating. If someone really wants a bubble tea, then Pho Kim 88 will suffice if they are willing to spend $5. But devoted bubble tea fans should look elsewhere.
