The boys volleyball team won Tuesday night against Upper Saint Clair, 3-1.

Senior Dante Parente said he was pleased with his teammates’ performance.

“We played solid all around. We put the ball away and our passing was on point,” he said.

Mike Goga and Russell Cyprowski played especially well, putting the ball away every time it was served to them, he said.

“They played phenomenal games. They couldn’t be stopped,” Parente said.

Parente hopes the team brings its new success with blocking into the next game against Moon Township on Thursday.

“Blocking is something we struggled with before in previous games, but we did very well with it last night,” Parente said.

Overall the Highlanders look to carry this big win and the energy produced from it as the they continue their playoff push.

“We’ve got to keep doing what we are doing and keep it up,” Parente said.
