Wrestlers find success in KO match
January 30, 2018
Baldwin wrestlers had a big day at their match against Keystone Oaks on Monday, winning four matches.
Due to low numbers, the team does not have enough wrestlers to compete in all categories, so they end up losing matches overall. But individually, Baldwin wrestlers have pulled off some impressive wins this season.
Senior Gehrig Hutchinson said he was pleased with the team’s progress.
“I think everyone showed improvement and a great work ethic in the matches,” Hutchinson said.
The winners were Hutchison, senior Jamil Khalil, junior Connor Sidoruk, and freshman Justin Bochter. Hutchison, Sidoruk and Bochter won by pin.
“Everyone needs to work. (We are) getting ready for the postseason,” Hutchinson said.
On Feb. 7, the team will host Carrick on Senior Night.
