Students encouraged to warm up to Snowball dance
January 24, 2018
To make the Snowball Dance more memorable, organizers have put together a theme week leading up to the dance, but have decided against having a specific theme for the dance itself.
The daily themes include a flannel day, a scarf day, and a day in which students are encouraged to wear something they wore in elementary school. The sophomore and freshman class officers decided against having a theme for the dance so that no one would be deterred from attending.
The Snowball Dance will be Saturday, Feb. 3. It will be the first dance this year to be in the atriums as well. Tickets will be sold from Monday to Wednesday next week for $10 each. Any student on social probation is not permitted to purchase a ticket.
“I’m not only looking forward to Snowball, but the days leading up as well,” Logan Hails, sophomore class vice president, said.
The theme week is called “Warm Up to Winter Week.” The daily themes are:
Monday: Wear a flannel.
Tuesday: Twin day.
Wednesday: Wear a hat.
Thursday: Wear a scarf.
Friday: in honor of the 100th day of school, students wear something they wore in elementary school.
