High school preps for second annual Glow Dance
January 12, 2018
For those who aren’t into the dressing up aspect of school dances, but still love having fun with friends on the dance floor, the glow dance is the solution.
Baldwin High School’s second annual Glow Dance will be held Saturday, Jan. 20, from 7 to 10 p.m. The dance will take place in the gym, and will feature a DJ and lights to make neon clothes glow.
“It’ll be very similar to last year,” Student Council President Jimmy Wodarek said.
Attire for the Glow Dance does not require a dress or a suit and tie, though students are encouraged to wear neon clothes that will reflect and “glow” off of the lights. Glow sticks will be provided at the dance.
For those looking to stand out at the Glow Dance, options include glow-in-the-dark face paint or glow-in-the-dark accessories like glasses.
“We’re aiming for a rave-type atmosphere,” Wodarek said. “We just want everyone to have fun and dance with their friends.”
