The Highlander ice hockey team pulled off a late comeback to defeat Pine-Richland in overtime by a score of 5-4 on Monday.

“We overcame a lot of adversity to pull off this win,” senior Nick Antonio said.

Senior Dan Figura scored the game-tying goal to send the game to overtime with less than two minutes left, and then he also scored the game-winner in overtime.

“Dan really came through for us in the end scoring the tying and winning goal,” Antonio said.

The Highlanders improved to 5-5 with the win. They get back in action after Christmas on Jan. 4 against Hempfield.
