Baldwin band members said they were very pleased with their performance at a competition hosted at the high school over the weekend.
On Saturday, the band and color guard received a combined scored an 83.6, which is five points higher than they scored at a similar event last year.
The event featured eight other bands from across the region at an annual event that the school hosts and participates in.
Many members attributed the success to the band’s consistent schedule and dedication to their new show, “Phobias”.
“We practiced way harder and we finished faster than we did last year,” senior and color guard member Grace Keeley said.
The band has already completed two competitions and have another two in the remainder of the season.
“I hope that we just keep improving for the rest of the season,” junior D.J. Pickell said.
