The past decade of sports makes history

This decade has brought sports fans some great teams that won multiple championships and broke records. There are just three, though, that stand out as the best sports teams of the decade
Golden State Warriors
There is no question that the Golden State Warriors deserve the top spot on this list. They shattered records set by Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls and won many championships. They only missed the playoffs the first two years of the decade.
The Warriors won three championships this decade: 2014, 2016, and 2017. They made it to the NBA finals in 2018 but lost to the Toronto Raptors. They had the best record in NBA history in 2015 at 73-9, which surpassed the Bulls. The Warriors made it to the finals that year but lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Not many teams in NBA history have done what the Warriors have accomplished. They went to five straight finals, they have the best record in NBA history, and they have one of the best shooters of all time in Steph Curry. There has never been an NBA franchise that has looked that unstoppable for a couple of years. The 2016 Warriors team with Curry, Kevin Durant, and Klay Thompson is the best team in NBA history.
New England Patriots
The New England Patriots made the playoffs every year this decade, earning them the second spot on this list. They had five Super Bowl appearances in that time, winning three of them and losing two. The Patriots won the Super Bowl in 2014, 2016, 2018.
The Patriots arguably have the best coach of all time in Bill Belichick and the best quarterback of all time in Tom Brady. Belichick and Brady have six Super Bowl rings. The Patriots also made the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history against the Atlanta Falcons, coming back from 25 points to win it all.
After winning the Super Bowl in 2018 against the Los Angeles Rams, the Patriots tied the Pittsburgh Steelers for the most Super Bowl rings with six. The New England Patriots are one of the best NFL franchises of all time and it is because of their performance this decade.
Pittsburgh Penguins
The Pittsburgh Penguins are the third-best team of the decade. The Penguins won back-to back Stanley Cup trophies in 2016 and 2017. In 2016 they defeated the San Jose Sharks and in 2017 they defeated the Nashville Predators.
The Penguins did not miss the playoffs in the decade. They also have a superstar in Sidney Crosby, and he now has won the Stanley Cup three times.
