In her newest album, Revival, Selena Gomez conveys her growth as an artist. Revival captures a more emotional side of Gomez. Many of the songs are the result of a failed relationship, and the raw emotion in her voice adds depth to the album. She succeeds in channeling her emotions through her music, making Revival her best album to date. The album is different from her other typical, pop albums. Although it is still a pop album, it offers a wide array of songs that all have their own unique style and sound. The leading songs on the album include “Revival” and “Same Old Love.” A less popular song on the album, “Camouflage,” is also a great song that people should listen to because it is a well-executed, slow yet powerful song. Overall, Gomez’s Revival is a successful album and deserves recognition.
